April 16, 2010 - Milwaukee - Management from the NFMT Conference & Expo announced today that the event grew nearly 2.5 percent over last year, attracting a crowd of 5,017 commercial and institutional facilities professionals during NFMT's three-day run in Baltimore March 16-18, 2010. The attendance growth contributes to a 9.63 percent compounded annual average growth rate since the show opened in 2001.
With more than 450 trade show exhibitors and 120 educational sessions, NFMT is the country's biggest and most robust event dedicated to professionals responsible for the management, operations, design and construction of commercial and institutional buildings. Conference sessions focused on sustainability, energy, assets, management, strategy, technology, security and more.
"We've come a long way in 10 years," said NFMT president and co-owner Bob Wisniewski. "Since then, attendance has grown 150 percent. Additionally, our exhibit hall has expanded to include the Business Service Pavilion; GreenTech, Safe Buildings and Maintenance Solutions showcases; and our more than 120 free educational sessions are now IACET certified for continuing education credits. We've accomplished a lot in 10 years and are proud of and grateful for the many compliments we continue to receive from exhibitors, speakers and attendees every year."
Decision makers and senior facility executives come to conduct business at NFMT, which attracts attendees from all 50 states and many foreign countries. Facility professionals turn to NFMT for cutting-edge educational sessions and more than 450 exhibitors who demonstrate and spotlight their newest products in the expansive exhibit hall.
"This year more than ever, we focused on advancing the facilities management profession and our attendees really embraced our approach," added Wendy Dietzler, director of education for NFMT. "Some of our busiest sessions this year were focused on leadership and management such as Facility Manager or Facility Leader: Which Do You Want to Be?, which drew a standing-room-only crowd.
"With 10 years under our belts, we are skilled at knowing the industry and what our attendees need to grow their careers and run their facilities with excellence. Next year will once again bring fresh opportunities and new, insightful learning experiences, aiming to bring even more facilities professionals to Baltimore."
NFMT 2011 will be held at the Baltimore Convention Center, March 15-17.
