Mexitronica

Mexico’s Fifteenth Anniversary Int’l Design and Manufacturing Technology Event Moves to 2010.

July 27, 2009, Guadalajara—In response to the global slowdown in electronics and manufacturing activity in general, ROC Exhibitions announced it will postpone Mexitronica, and related events, until October 2010.

“We feel this is in the best interest of our exhibitor and attendee communities.” explains Marc Rosenstock, President of ROC Exhibitions, Inc. “In the face of industry revenue declines, plant slowdowns, and across the board budget restrictions it is questionable that a 2009 event would reach critical mass and generate the value our customers expect when participating in Mexitronica.”

In lieu of producing a live event, the Mexitronica web site will be repurposed to allow industry suppliers to promote their products and solutions to the tens of thousands of engineers and managers who have attended Mexitronica in recent years.

A comprehensive product directory and other new web site features will be introduced to generate interest and drive traffic to Mexitronica.com.  An “Ask the expert” feature offering technical expertise on design and manufacturing issues will debut in August.

Suppliers are invited to submit product photos and descriptions for placement in the Mexitronica Product Resource area.  A “New Product” feature on the web site will also be promoted.

For information on submitting material for the site’s product directory or sponsoring a product category, contact Jerry Carter at 630-271-8228, jcarter@rocexhibitions.com.

The fifteenth anniversary Mexitronica will be held at Expo Guadalajara, October 19-21, 2010.

Suppliers interested in reserving booth space can contact Mark Sorenson or Matt Hawerbier of ROC Exhibitions, Inc. at 630-271-8210.  In Mexico, contact Liliana Perez at + (33) 3030 7214.
