Las Vegas (Jan. 28, 2008) – Mark your calendar for the most important fire, security, electrical and life safety conference of the year, attended by thousands of industry professionals including more than 4,800 last year.

The 2008 World Safety Conference & Exposition®, presented by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and ROC Exhibitions, Inc., begins Monday, June 2 and concludes on Thursday, June 5, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.
NFPA has been a worldwide leader in providing fire, electrical, building and life safety to the public since 1896. The organization’s mission is to reduce the worldwide burden of fire and other hazards on the quality of life by providing and advocating scientifically-based consensus codes and standards, research, training and education. Many codes and standards are first presented for consideration at the annual World Safety Conference.

The 37th event will feature more than 150 education sessions. Concurrent tracks will include building and life safety, codes and standards, detection and suppression, disaster preparedness/business continuity, fire and emergency response, industrial fire safety and security, necforum™, premises security, public education and research.

Attendees and exhibitors benefit from face-to-face interaction with influential professionals involved in the specification and purchase of fire- and safety-related products and services.
